SMA Tissue Repositories

Several biorepositories supported by the SMA Foundation and the National Institutes of Health are actively engaged in collecting, preserving, and distributing cells and tissues from SMA patients to qualified scientific investigators. These specimens are used in research to explore the biology of SMA, and to develop and test new therapeutic interventions.
